Watching Oprah was one of the most significant events i have ever seen. What an amazing thing this is turning out to be, i would love to be more involved in anyway that i can, if you are ever in need of volunteers from San Diego please contact me. We were all touched by what we saw on the show and were eager to do our little part to help Africa through our purchasing power. I bought an INSPI(RED) T-shirt and a black/red leather bracelet on Friday and was very happy about my new (RED) gear. I returned on Monday to buy some pins for friends and ended up buying myself the long sleeved blue striped shirt. I look forward to the replenishment of stock, since I really would like to buy some (RED) GAP clothes for Christmas gifts, but they're out of the sizes I need. And a special commendation to the GAP employees who were really enthusiastic about (RED) both times I went to the store. They really help make the whole purchasing experience such a positive one. :) Kudos to all of the work of the (RED) team, and I look forward to supporting your efforts by buying more (RED). :D

Great idea!Unfortunately, people have been conditi...

Great idea!
Unfortunately, people have been conditioned to only think in commercial terms, so this campaign might harness the narrow frame of reference people have for some good.

It will be interesting to see where the products were manufactured, because while their purchase might be helping poverty/AIDS in Africa the products might be contributing to poverty in Asia. It's simple and brilliant.
However, I haven't found any products for children. I have three of my own (ages 2, 4 and 5), and as soon as I saw those GAP
T-shirts, I wanted to get them each one. They already have a general understanding about poverty, homelessness and illness. They also have performed small acts of charity. It makes them feel special and important, and it teaches them at the same time. I'm sure there are many other children (and parents) out there who would love to go (RED).
That said, are there any plans for a children's line? My husband and I joked about Tees that read
Ti(red), Bo(red) and Perspi(red). Not exactally inspirational but you get the point.
