On World AIDS Day, Landmarks Around the World Will Turn (RED) Once Again

Turning famous landmarks (RED) on World AIDS Day has become a bit of a tradition at (RED). And once again, on December 1st, cities around the world will unite and illuminate landmarks (RED) to honor World AIDS Day.

Will your city have a (RED) skyline on December 1st? Cities and landmarks turning (RED) include the Empire State Building in New York, The London Eye, the Sydney Opera House, the Wrigley Building in Chicago, the CN Tower in Toronto and Table Mountain in Cape Town.

The landmark lightings will help raise awareness and support for our goal of eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV by 2015.  The lightings will also bring awareness of the issue to a local level with many individual cities hosting events.

I think this is an absolutely beautiful idea. There is a new bridge in Toledo, OH that would be perfect for this! I will have to reach out to the city leaders and see if it's something they would go for.
