Starbucks Visits Rwanda to See (RED) Money in Action

Starbucks chairman, president and ceo, Howard Schultz, joined (RED) at the Treatment and Research AIDS Center (TRAC) in Rwanda last Friday to see firsthand how funding generated by Starbucks and other (RED) partners can help to make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS. TRAC is Rwanda’s national HIV and AIDS research center housing the country’s busiest HIV clinic. Read more about the visit and about Starbucks latest (PRODUCT) RED offerings in U.S. and Canada participating stores here.

Thanks so much for this awesome post about Starbucks in Rwanda for (RED). It comes at a really appropriate time for me.

Currently, I am "between jobs" and thus have to watch my money very carefully. Still, there is a part of me that wants to regularly contribute to the Global Fund through (RED).

My daughter's b-day is next week (she'll be 28 yrs old) and her & her husband are very loyal (RED) supporters.

I stopped into a Starbucks the other day for some of their Ethos water ( a rare treat for me) and saw the whole bean (Starbucks) RED coffee.

I immediately knew what I was getting her for her birthday: a pound of (Starbucks)RED whole bean coffee and a (Starbucks)RED card with $20 on it!

Although I probably spent more than I was going to in that Starbucks, knowing that I had just done something substantial to show my support of (RED)in support of the Global Fund gave me a satisfaction that I hadn't felt in awhile.

THANKS (RED) for being.~

ALWAYS (RED) AT HEART, debbie :)
