They're so pretty!
Pity as Dell climb aboard the trendy charity train they simultaneously continue to eliminate jobs in their plants throughout the US and Europe and manufacture these products in China where human rights abuse is rife, workers rights nil and pay is a joke in order to make these companies mega profitable and share holders smiling. Red is a great idea I just can't help being annoyed when I see the hypocrisy of exploitative manufacturing that couldn't really care a less about people all the while dressing in charity colors.
Hi Pako. I work with Dell’s corporate responsibility team and wanted to respond to your post. We’re a global company with an extensive global supply chain, and we recognize our responsibility to promote sustainable environmental practices, the health and safety of people and their fundamental human rights and dignity. And we expect our suppliers to employ the same high standards we do in our own facilities. We enforce these standards through a variety of tools including the Electronics Industry code of conduct, business reviews with suppliers, self-assessments and audits. I can tell you that any reports of poor working conditions in Dell’s supply chain are investigated and appropriate action is taken. On another note, we’re very proud of our association with (RED) and the good work that is does. And I’m glad you’re out here taking part in the conversation. I hope others do the same and help spread awareness for this great cause.
