We just learned that the Philadelphia Inquirer will bathe its tower in red tonight to honor (RED) co-founder Bono, who is receiving the National Constitution Center’s 2007 Liberty Medal award with DATA at 7PM EST in Philadelphia. Read interviews with Bono by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News to learn why Bono and DATA are this year’s recipients of the Liberty Medal, and his thoughts on this honor.
If you're in Philly, check out the Inquirer's tower tonight at 400 N Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19130. We'll be tuning in to watch the webcast at libertymedal.org, but we'd love to see photos from Philadelphia as well. Send your photos to moblog@joinred.com!

Hey BN,
After a week's hiatus from posting in (BLOG)RED, I'm back and wow - did (RED) have an AMAZING week last week!
Let me try to give my thoughts about several threads in this one.
First - MAJOR CONGRATULATIONS TO (RED) in reaching the $45 million mark in contributions for the Global Fund.
I know that you're aware of just how ESSENTIAL in our movement to end extreme poverty this money is.
It will save lives and restore futures for hundreds of thousands of men, women and children.
I am very proud to say that I have bought over $300 in (RED) products so far and will continue to do so in the future.
Next, thank you for the post on Sipho. That was one of the most moving posts that I have seen here yet.
I have mentioned before here of my deep respect for Dr. Mark Kline and the Pediatric AIDS Initiative Program from Baylor University.
Your post about Sipho just re-affirmed my faith in this man and in his work with Africa's most vunerable population - children.
Next, comes my PROPS FOR TAMSIN and her appearance at the SELF magazine forum and her EXCELLENT remarks before the Global Fund fundraiser.
Your words are as inspi(red) as
the brilliance of your smile, my friend.
Although I was in Philly to watch Bono and DATA receive the Liberty Medal Award the same day that you were speaking before the Global Fund half across the world, our Hearts and Souls were united in our common goal to end extreme poverty.
And then - BONO !!
The Liberty Medal Award program was brilliant and Bono was "on target" as he always is on the issues surrounding extreme poverty and the meaning of liberty.
He was completely engaging and naturally charming - both on and off stage.
The award will be a boost for the work that DATA does as well as an encouragement for DATA to continue leading our movement to end extreme poverty with the essential work that they do.
In all - quite an amazing week!
Take very good and gentle care of each other. Blessings abound - just look around.~
ALWAYS (RED) AT HEART, debbie :)
Thanks bn for posting this about the Liberty Medal Award Ceremony in Philly.
It truly was an inspi(red) night.
As someone who has been with our movement to make extreme poverty history since its start back on the "Heart of America" tour in Dec. 2002, I have seen our movement grow in the Hearts and the Minds of the public. And (RED) is just the latest venture that we have to GROW OUR MOVEMENT - one
t-shirt at a time. (smile)
Bono gave a delightful speech which had moments within it full of serious concern. I would highly recommend anyone who has not yet watched the video of that magical night to do so.
Take very good care of each other, my dear friends at (RED). Blessings - not just for those who kneel.
ALWAYS (RED) AT HEART, debbie :)
