GLAMOU(RED)

Hello again. I have some updates to share with you as well as some re-posts for people who are new(er) to our blog.
If this entry feels a bit disjointed, it's because I'm a bit distracted! The (Emporio Armani) RED collection just hit stores and I can't wait to leave and go shopping. We've had pictures of some of the new items up in our office for a couple weeks and there's a shirt (among other things) I've been dying to get. You may have seen the shirts on Oprah - they have African symbols on them and are really soft. For more info, visit http://emporioarmaniproductred.com
Also, we just got some great video footage of the Armani One Night Only event that took place in London on September 21. There's a speech by Bono, Bobby introducing the Armani (RED) Collection, and live performances by 50 Cent, Razorlight, and Beyonce. You can watch it here: [Windows Media] [Quicktime]
If you read SHA(RED) IDEAS, you saw the fabulous Blog Badge Tim sent in. The blog badge is a great way to show your support for (RED) and has been popping up around the blogosphere ever since. Some of you asked for a (RED) ribbon to place on the corner of your blogs and websites. Many thanks to Matt and Word of Blog for creating our (RED) ribbon. You can get the (RED) badges and ribbon here. Check back regularly - Matt has offered to create some more ribbons... perhaps some (RED) words.
On November 15th we're relaunching Joinred with a video wall. Now you'll have a chance to show the world (YOU) RED. Find out how to get your video on the homepage by clicking here.
For those of you who may just be coming across our blog, I wanted to highlight some posts you might want to read:
Feel free to browse the archives to read more posts from various (RED) team members.
Some of the (RED) team WeeMees have gone on a field trip. Create your own (RED) WeeMee and join us on the moon!

Ok, I'm off to go shopping. Have a great weekend!

Hello Colette! Great to hear from you. I will try to stop by Armani store this weekend and see if I can do some shopping too.
I feel like it's been a while since I made any comments, but I kept checking the blog, but didn't have any time to comment. I am going to get a nice pic of myself wearing my INSPI(RED) tee and will send to you guys. I went to GAP store this week and the sales person was so excited and telling me how was the store the day they released the products and she told me it was crazy.
She told me that 20 minutes after Ophrah show started, the phone started to ring with people asking about the products and asking them to separate some tees for them, because they wanted it before it was sold out. By the end of the day (Friday), almost all the items were sold out. They still giving cards apologizing for being out of stock and she told me people keep calling to check if the products are back. And this is just one of the stores around here, in a small city.
I am so happy for your sucess, because that means lots of lifes saved back in Africa. Keep up the great work!
Ahhh...watching Oprah this week she did a follow up on the campaign and she said that so far the revenue of the products sales can give medicine to 15 million mothers with HIV...is that correct?
Love, peace and (RED)!
hi Colette..Thought I'd do my part to help raise the awareness of the (RED) campaign though my paint-by-number oriented website: http://www.segmation.com/SegPlayChoose.asp?order=alpha&cat=JRD
Hoping for your continued success in promoting this cause..
